Knut Blind Dr. Knut Blind is Deputy Head of the “Technology Analysis and Innovation Strategies” Department of Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research and Head of the "Innovation and Regulation" Taskforce. Mr. Blind has studied Economics, Political Science and Psychology at Freiburg University and spent one year at Brock University (Canada), where he acquired a BA in Economics. After receiving his diploma in Economics from the University of Freiburg, Dr. Blind was a research fellow at the Institute for Public Finance at Freiburg University, where he received his doctoral degree. Meanwhile, he is a reader at the Faculty of Economics at Kassel University. His research and work areas focus on Innovation and Regulation, especially on Standardization and Technical Change, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Innovations in the Service Sector, Technology Foresight and on Science and Technology Indicators. He is also member of the "Industrial Economics" Committee of the Verein f?r Socialpolitik, member of the Editorial Review Board in "The International Journal of IT Standards & Standardization Research" and he participates in a network of academic institutions in the field of standardisation.
