SUCCESS JOURNAL #1
Brainstorm a list of successful events you have personally experienced in
your life. It can involve other people, but you have to play the major
role in the successful outcome of the event. No doubt you have had
many, so the fun will be deciding which one to write about for this
assignment!
Examples of what may be on your list are:
 Academic (won a spelling bee, chosen to submit an essay in a
contest etc.)
 Social (made the winning basket in the state basketball
championship game, received recognition for something you did well
etc)
 Work (pulled someone out of a burning house, caught a shoplifter
etc.)
From that list, choose one event and write about it. Tell the story
from beginning to end and how it made you feel. Questions to consider
are:




Who else saw your success?
Are you still remembered for it?
Did it make you feel more self-confident?
Did it change your life or your direction?
NOTE: This journal entry will include
 1 page of your brainstorm ideas of successful events
 At least one page describing, from start to finish, your successful
story
