point font) answering ONE of the following questions:
1) In the film, Devil’s Playground, how do the Amish people both consume
and resist popular culture? Please discuss the strategies used to
consume and resist popular culture from the textbook and give specific
examples from the film in your response.
2) What are popular culture stereotypes of the Amish community that you
knew prior to seeing the film, Devil’s Playground? How does this
representation reinforce or contradict the stereotypes you knew about
the Amish culture? Please discuss how popular culture is related to
stereotyping from the textbook and use examples from the film in your
response.
