CMUN 4: Cultural Artifacts Presentation, Due: Purpose of Assignment: This short presentation describing your own culture will give you experience speaking in front of the class, give the class a chance to get to know you better, and will encourage awareness of our cultural diversity. Your goal is to describe your own culture or some aspect of it by focusing on the values, artifacts, rituals, ceremonies, or practices that make your culture unique. Consider the sense of identity or shared meaning that you feel within your culture that is not obvious to those outside of your culture. Requirements: Your presentation should have three parts--an introduction, body, and conclusion. You will identify and discuss the 6 aspects of culture from Chapter 2 (learned, involves perceptions and values, shared, expressed behavior, involves feelings, dynamic and heterogeneous) in your outline and in your speech. Three to four minutes in length. Practice your speech several times so that you can deliver it in an extemporaneous speaking style. One visual aid to add a sense of your culture for the audience. You will turn in a TYPED outline prior to your presentation.
