The Define series by Neo-Ray characterizes the ultimate in minimalist simplicity by
providing clean, uniform lines of illumination in virtually any architectural environment.
Powered by Eaton’s most advanced linear LED technology, the Define series delivers
outstanding efficacy in a variety of profile widths. 1”, 2”, 3”, 4”, and 5” luminaire widths
are all specifiable to the nearest inch in length and can be fitted with standard flush,
regress, proud and asymmetric lensing. In wall corners, wall to ceiling transitions
can all be ordered as standard components and blend seamlessly into the most
complex architectural spaces. Robust construction and adaptable, modular
components make installation simple and ensure laser straight runs. The Define
series empowers designers, engineers and architects to design the space as they
Define it, not to the limitations of the luminaire.

The Define series provides the ultimate synthesis of minimalistic style and Eaton’s
most advanced LED technology. As building codes and standards continue to
become more stringent, standard slot luminaires will struggle to meet the efficacy
and dimming criteria necessary for the modern office environment. The Define’s
high efficacy LED engine and standard 0-10V continuous dimmer driver allow
easy and flexible integration with lighting control panels, occupancy sensors,
daylighting controls and room controllers. The Define series provides numerous
luminaires and shielding options that not only conform, but shine through todays,
and tomorrow’s, rigid building codes and standards.
TechZone® Ceiling Systems
Armstrong TechZone friendly. Neo-Ray has partnered closely with Armstrong ceiling
systems to ensure simple and accurate luminaire installation in both 4” and 6”
Armstrong Techzone systems. The Define family is compatible with most ceiling systems
and can even have different ceiling trims on each side of the fixture housing.

Custom: Standardized
Luminaires tracing architectural details is not new; but custom lead times and
cost made the vision unapproachable for most applications. The Neo-Ray Define
family is fully configuarable, and specifiable, to the nearest inch increment with
numerous standard transitions such as crosses, T’s, in wall corners and wall to
ceiling transitions.

Turn the corner. The Neo-Ray Define Series features optional corner transitions in all housing
widths. Whether spanning corridors, wrapping staircases or highlighting architectural features,
the Define has standard corner transitions for all applications. Standard crosses, T’s, wall to
ceiling and in wall transitions are available. Consult factory for specific ordering details.

Integration Defined
As the variety of ceiling systems rapidly expands to include cloud systems,
wood slats, larger tiles, and metalized or fabric panels, luminaire integration
becomes crucial to the success of the installation. The Neo-Ray Define has
been engineered to seamlessly integrate into virtually any ceiling system with
ease. Specific extruded trims allow the luminaire to adapt to whatever ceiling
is used. Moreover, the Neo-Ray Define can be specified with different trims on
each length of the luminaire. For instance, often the luminaire becomes the
transition between Sheetrock and drop ceilings; the Neo-Ray Define can easily
bridge these ceiling material.

Integration Defined
Beautifully uniform illumination. Fluorescent lamps rely on a 4” stagger to help disguise
socket shadows. When limited to traditional lamp lengths, this 4” stagger must be
manipulated to achieve specific run lengths. Neo-Ray’s state of the art LED engine allows
run lengths to the nearest sub- inch while maintaining a perfectly uniform lens aperture.

slender 1” aperture. The micro slot beautifully defines architectural features
and shapes and blends harmoniously in the most modern and technological
environments. The Define 1 is available with all the options of the larger
aperture profiles making it not only a beautiful aesthetic option, but a true micro
powerhouse.
Superior LED life
The RZL’s LED dedicated design allows for extremely long life. Greater than 70% of the initial
light output is maintained after 60,000 hours of operation. Assuming an average usage of 12
hours per day, this equates to nearly 14 years! Combined with other benefits such as low heat,
no Mercury and no ultraviolet emissions, LED technology is perfect for almost all applications

Light Leaks Eliminated
Uniform ribbons of light do not need to come standard with light leaks at the ends
of fixture runs. Neo-Ray’s patent pending lens clip easily snaps into place at the
ends of runs and seals off the end of the luminaire to prevent light leaks and bug
and dust protection. The lens clip and standard snap in lens are suitable for damp
locations, and allow the Neo-Ray Define series to be installed under canopies or
in restrooms with ease.

difficult to install. Pulling from over 20 years of perimeter lighting experience, the
Neo-Ray Define adds a new dimension to perimeter lighting. Available in 1”, 2”, 3”,

uniform illumination from wall to wall allowing tremendous design flexibility

Construction Housing trim extruded from 6063 aluminum. Nominal 2’
-12’ illuminated sections. Used in run configuration and/or individual
fixtures. All components are RoHs compliant. Lens Snap in lens available
in flush and drop lens profiles. End brackets include gasketed closure
to prevent moisture and insect ingress. Finish Fixture housings are
high reflectance white using electrostatically applied polyester powder
coat paint. Electrical Long-life LED system coupled with electrical
driver to deliver optimal performance. LED’s are available in 3000K,
3500K or 4000K with a typical CRI ≤ 85. Projected life is 50,000
hours at 70% lumen output. Electronic drivers are available for 120277V applications. Fixtures and electrical components certified to UL
and CUL standards. Fixtures are damp location listed and IC rated.
Controls Equipped standard with a 0-10V continuous dimming driver
compatible with most standard dimmming devices (refer to website for
specific compatibility reference). Combine with FifthLight DALI and other
energy saving products like sensors, daylighting controls and building
management systems to maximize energy savings. Mounting Recessed.

1. All lengths are nominal. Actual sizes are one inch shorter than nominal to allow easy in-grid
installation. For Gypsum or Flangeless installations add 1 inch to overall fixture length. Refer to
submittal drawings for actual sizes.
2. Not all dimming options available for every length; please consult factory for specifi c details.
3. For confi gurable runs specify length to nearest inch. Standard runs ship in 12ft increments.
Ensure to specify 8ft increments if 12ft are too large to recieve. Additional charges may apply;
please consult factory for details.
4. 347V is achieved using remote transformer.
5. FifthLight DALI is achieved using digital analog converter.
