Just a sequence on how to tie this halter knot: On a rope halter, the key with the
knot on this is to come down through the loop, and tie around underneath the loop so that
it’s tied in that fashion. The thing you don’t want to do is tie it above this way because if
she’s tied up, and she pulls back, she can pull back so tight that it tightens that knot to the
point where the only thing you can do is cut your halter off. You won’t be able to get
that knot undone. Whereas, if you stay underneath, and bring it this way, you always
have the ability to break that over and open up your knot.
It’s conceivable you can tie it the same way and come around this way, but then
you end up with your tail here, and it’s going to be hitting them right in the eyeball. You
want to come at that the other direction so it’ll come around and slip right out there.
