Note_1: There are two temperature sensors installed at 30cm above ground level at most locations.
One is exposed to direct sunlight and the cold night sky (ExT30). A second sensor is housed in a
radiation shelter and protected from direct sunlight and the cold night sky (AT30).
Note_2: A day is defined as the 24-hour period ending at midnight. Because midnight marks the
beginning of the next day, day of year can be misinterpreted in these files. For example, a daily data
record for midnight on day of year 306 contains the daily data summary for the previous 24 hour
period (day of year 305). Users should subtract 1 from the day of year listed to properly align the
data and the date. The only exception occurs on December 31st when day of year will be reported
as 1 (New Year’s Day).
