The next regular meeting of the Regional Planning Advisory Committee is scheduled for
Friday, June 1st, at 1:30 p.m. in the Council’s Conference Room.

Welcome and Introductions
2.
Reality Check Tampa Bay - Reality Check Tampa Bay was held on May 18th. A
report on the results from each table will be distributed and briefly discussed. The
implementation phase of Reality Check is entitled OneBay. For more information,

3.
Legislative Roundtable - Staff will lead a discussion on the 2007 Legislature’s
changes to growth management. Committee members may want to review HB
7203 in advance of the meeting.
4.
Statewide Regional Hurricane Evacuation Study Update - Staff will provide
an update on the Statewide RHES update. This project was in the news recently
at the Governor’s Hurricane Conference when it was announced that a major
remote sensing campaign was being initiated to aid in the RHES updates.
5.
Coastal High Hazard Area - Last month the committee discussed a white paper
from the CHHA Working Group regarding the new Coastal High Hazard Area
(CHHA) definitions and Evacuation Time LOS on local land development
regulations, mitigation strategies and public safety. A revised draft will be
distributed at the meeting.
