Open Access Week is a global event in its 8th year of sharing the benefits of removing
barriers between an author’s work and readers, working to provide you with access to the
information you need. Read more at www.righttoresearch.org.

From October 20-26, MSU Library will be celebrating Open Access Week. Your library staff
provides an extensive collection of online journals, databases, and resources that, as an
MSU student, you can access for free. (Hint: Off-campus? Log-in with your NetID and
password.) However, without the library’s subscriptions, that access can be expensive.
For example, it could cost you between $18 and $32 to buy just one full-text article from
the science journal, Nature!
