A. Rationale/Justification for the Course
Almost all students interested in performance physiology will want a course in Strength and Conditioning. Therefore,
providing an online course for these individuals will be important.

4. Catalog Description (Limit to approximately 50 words.):
The purpose of this course is to review and integrate theoretical elements of exercise science and practical concepts of
physical training necessary for the development and implementation of conditioning programs for athletic populations.
In addition, the course will help students structurally prepare for the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
(CSCS) exam provided by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
