ANTH 370: Human Osteology in Anthropology new course proposal
Comment: This course may be enhanced by the inclusion of anatomy and
physiology as a prerequisite. Also, the program of study was not included,
and this is necessary so that how this course fits into the program.

passes)
ANTH 471: Research Methods in Bioarchaeology new course proposal
Comment: Change name of ANTH 370 on the paperwork to match the
name of the course as it stands now. Also, the program of study was not
included, and this is necessary so that how this course fits into the
program.

BIO 417/517 Conservation Biology new course proposal
This proposal has been tabled by the department.

PSY 720: Child and Family Therapy course title, description, and
prereq/coreq revision
Comment: It is unclear whether there is a change in the program
restrictions for this course. It is not clear whether these have changed or
not. In one place on the form, it is suggested that they have not. In another
place, it is suggested that the program restrictions HAVE changed. Please
clarify before this paperwork leaves CAS.

Comment: The program of study was not included, and this is necessary
so that how this course fits into the program.

College of Health and Human Services [Dec 02 review date]
DTC 375: Complementary and Alternative Medicine course title and
description revision
Comments: There is also a prerequisite change required too, but it is not
marked correctly on the front of the form. Department should clarify the
language under item 7. May be an “or” missing between 203 and 204.
There is also a restriction level change; juniors were added but this is not
checked on the front page of the form under “type of revision.” The new
catalog description does not seem to be as informative as the current
catalog description.

Chair’s remarks
We need all of the paperwork included with course proposals from now on. As
such, we want to make sure colleagues within departments know to include
all supplementary paperwork. In addition, we would like this message to be
sent to the Course and Program Development office.
