Communication of 5.III.2009:*
The Instituto Nicaragüense de Telecomunicaciones y Correos (TELCOR), Managua, announces
that the telecommunication networks of the Republic of Nicaragua will have a closed numbering of eight
(8) digits for telecommunication services as from 22 April 2009. As from that date, subscribers must dial:
–
digit 2 (two) before the existing National (Significant) Number (N(S)N) for fixed services,
–
digit 8 (eight) before the existing National (Significant) Number (N(S)N) for mobile services.
TELCOR informs that no period of parallel dialling of the old and new numbering will be available.
