plan for Italy (country code: +39) approved with resolution n. 52/12/CIR of 3 May 2012 (see URL

Overview:
The minimum number length (excluding the country code) is :
3 digits.
The maximum number length (excluding the country code) is:
12 digits.
The maximum number length has some exceptions for numbers used at national level (see
detail of numbering scheme section).
The plan is organized by services, and the first digit identifies the category of the service provided:

Short length numbers to be assigned to specific services and premium rate services

Numbers for mobile and personal services

Numbers for internal services and premium rate services provided only by means of
SMS/MMS and data transmission services
