Training vs Information/Doc
Training: a special form of communication/instruction that carefully
and deliberately focuses attention on needed job tasks, skills, and
knowledge for real-time operational decision-making.
Complete training covers:
• essential knowledge
• proven operational applications
• decision making
Summative evaluations for critical training are (not weather-only)
simulations requiring substantial depth-of-knowledge application to
forecast and warning decision-making process. Testbeds/proving
grounds provide value when demonstrated improvements are
“operationalized” to real-world constraints.
