CatSearch
A Whole New Way of Searching
Research just got easier! Use CatSearch to discover resources in a whole new way.
CatSearch will retrieve authoritative and credible resources from MSU Libraries. With
its Google-like search experience, you can enter your research terms in one search box
to locate library materials including books, journal articles, trade magazines, e-books,
reports, newspapers, videos and more.
Like Google, CatSearch doesn’t search everything. CatSearch searches most but not
all of MSU Libraries’ databases and products. If a search does not yield appropriate
results, you may want to search a specific subject database which can be found at http://
lib.montana.edu/resources/.
Want to learn more about CatSearch?
Attend one of our workshops as we explore this new research tool. Sessions will be held
on Wednesday, August 18 and 25 from noon-1pm in the Library classroom. In each
session you will learn how to:
search across the libraries’ vast collection or resources
fine-tune your search to just find peer-reviewed articles, e-books, government
documents, or newspapers
narrow results by subject and date.
Double Take selected for
Freshman Convocation
Double Take by Kevin
Connolly has been selected
as the Montana State
University's 2010 Freshmen
Convocation book.
Born without legs, Kevin has been the
object of curiosity from people
throughout the world. Double Take is
a memoir that explores perceptions
and encourages self-reflection on how
we view ourselves and others.
Connolly, a 2008 MSU graduate, will
speak at the Convocation on
Wednesday, September 8, at 7:30 pm
at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
Double Take was also selected for
One Book-One Bozeman, a
community reading program.
Copies of this book are available at
the MSU and Bozeman Public
Libraries.
New Library Resources

on the quest for new resources to help you with
your research, the Libraries made several

within an academic discipline.
Safari Tech Books - Get electronic access to
nearly 3,000 technology related books.
