Biodata Duangthip or Thip is currently the Regional Affairs Manager at the Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau of the Internet Society. She is based in the Singapore bureau but strategically works out of Bangkok, her native city and home. Her current roles include facilitating understanding and advancing dialogues in areas relating to Internet Governance, IPv6, DNSSEC, Privacy and Trust, Open Standard, Cyber security, Internet Economy, Internet Exchange Point (IXP), Treaty Issues relating to IP and Internet development policy discussions. She is a frequent participant at the various Internet related platforms such as APECTEL, APT, APTLD, APRICOT, Global IGF, ICANN, ICC, APrIGF, ESCAP, World Bank as well as ISOC’s own regional events. Her engagement includes Internet community, policy makers, the technical community the business/industry, donor institution, civil societies, NOGs as well as the general public. She is also currently a Committee Member of the Asia-Pacific Regional IGF which organizes the regionally IGF events in the region.
