ErinD.BiglerisaprofessorofpsychologyandneuroscienceatBrighamYoungUniversity(BYU),who
holdstheendowedSusaYoungGatesProfessorshipatBYUandservedaschairofthePsychology
Departmentfrom1996through2002.In1990,heestablishedtheBrainImagingandBehaviorLaboratory
atBYU,whichstudiestheroleofneuroimagingvariablesincogni9veandneurobehavioraldisorderssuch
astrauma9cbraininjuries,neurodevelopmentaldisordersincludingau9smandlearningdisabili9es,
anoxicbraininjuriesandotheracquiredinjuriesofthebrainaswellasagingandAlzheimer'sdisease.In
addi9ontothis,heisanadjunctprofessorofpsychiatryattheUniversityofUtah.In2013hewas
appointeddirectorofBYU’snewMagne9cResonanceImagingResearchFacility.
Dr.Biglerhasbeenprac9cingsince1975andholdsadiplomateinclinicalneuropsychologyfromthe
AmericanBoardofProfessionalPsychology.HeisthepastpresidentoftheInterna9onal
NeuropsychologicalSociety(2014-1015).Alongwithhavingwri\enseveralneuropsychologicaltests,he
hasauthoredand/oredited11textbooksandpublishedover300peer-reviewedar9cles.Hewasoneof
thefoundingassociateeditorsfortwojournalsinthefield--theJournaloftheInterna7onal
NeuropsychologicalSociety(JINS),whereheservedfor11yearsaswellasBrainImagingandBehavior,
wherehecon9nuestoserve.Currently,heisassociateeditorforNeuropsychology.In1999,hereceived
theDis9nguishedClinicalNeuropsychologistAwardfromtheNa9onalAcademyofNeuropsychology,
wherehewaspresidentofthatorganiza9onfrom1989-1990.In1999,hewasalsotherecipientofthe
KarlG.MaeserDis9nguishedFacultyLecturerAward,BrighamYoungUniversity’stopfacultyhonor.He
wasformerlyaprofessorofpsychologyandpsychiatryattheUniversityofTexas,un9lhereturnedto
Utahin1990toassumehiscurrentposi9onatBYU.For38yearshehaseitherdirectedorco-directedthe
subspecialtytraininginclinicalneuropsychologyattheUniversityofTexas-Aus9norBYU.
