The students attended at least five hours of interviews with DSS employees, toured the various locations (including day and night shifts which often involved the students with seriously disabled clients) and all undergraduate students were involved in deriving the survey data in English and in Spanish. Two doctoral students have been involved in "number crunching" the data. Each of the 50 students involved in this study received letters of reference from the Director of the Denton State School.
