Kennewick Community Education Policies
Participation Agreement
By registering for a Community Education class, participants understand that participation
is at their own risk. Participants, their children, heirs, executors and administrators agree to
indemnify and hold harmless the Kennewick School District, its employees, agents,
contributing organizations, officers, representatives, and facilities from all claims resulting
from any theft, physical injury, death or pecuniary loss as a direct or indirect consequence
of participation in this activity/class. If the participant is under 18 years old, their parent or
guardian agrees to these terms on their behalf.
Registration Policies
First Come, First Served
Registrations are posted in the order received until the class is filled. Online registration
closes the day of the class. Register early! Many classes fill quickly. All registrations must
be made in advance. Instructors are not able to register participants at the class.
Age Requirements
Unless otherwise noted, Community Education classes are geared toward an adult
audience; however, in some classes younger students are permitted. If you would like to
register a student younger than age 16, please call the Community Education office prior
to enrolling.
Wait Lists
All classes are limited. If the class you wish to register for is filled, you can choose to be
placed on an automatic waitlist in the order received. Our office will contact you if space
becomes available. Please note: you are not officially enrolled if you are on a waiting list.
Cancellation Policy
Refunds for classes over $25 (less processing fees) may be issued if you call and cancel
at least two business days before the class starts. No refunds will be given for less than a
two day notice.
There are no refunds for classes under $25. You may choose to send a friend or relative in
your place, or you may be able to transfer to another class of same price if space is
available.
A full refund will be issued for classes that are cancelled by Community Education.
Refunds are issued by check and will be processed within two to four weeks.
