Operation Recovery is a program that supports individuals with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as well as other Trauma Related Disorders involved in the Criminal Justice System with a Priority Eligibility for Veterans Mecklenburg County Provided Services There are TWO ways that Operation Recovery can help you! #1 . . . Veterans Specialist, Sean Fucci, will assist you in a variety of ways such as: Advising you of your veterans benefits Helping request your DD-214 or military service records Applying for health benefits Assisting in determining your service connection disabilities and services Sean will also screen you for any exposure to trauma, substance abuse, or other mental illness in order to determine whether you would be appropriate for diversion. If you have experienced a traumatic event and are experiencing a mental illness or substance abuse, our Trauma Specialist, Linda Finkle, will: Meet with you to determine what treatment services to put in place for you as an alternative to incarceration Develop a plan with you and communicate the plan to your attorney for possible diversion Provide you a copy of your treatment plan. You will be expected to complete treatment as a condition of diversion Your participation in Operation Recovery is completely voluntary; you are not obligated to any further participation.
