semester.
Step 1: By Dec 2nd, students sign up and get a book

Step 3: During the first week of classes, meet in small groups with a professor to discuss an aspect
of the book - e.g. Bargaining, Incentives or Auctions

The University of Texas at Austin chapter of Omicron Delta Epsilon, international economics honor
society, is currently seeking submissions for the 2015 edition of a student-run publication: The
Developing Economist - An Undergraduate Journal of Economics at UT-Austin.
Our team of editors is committed to producing an annual volume of high-quality academic work
done by undergraduates from across the nation. We aim to create an avenue for young researchers
to showcase and receive recognition for their work.
Writings should be economic in nature, however, interpretation of that criterion may be related to
other academic fields. Students whose focus is in political economy, finance, or mathematics should
not hesitate to send their work.
Interested students should visit http://developingeconomist.com for submission guidelines and to
review the 2014 edition of the journal. The deadline for submission is January 15, 2015. If you have
any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
Thank You,
Christina Kent

Journal Submissions - Columbia
Columbia University's Journal of Politics and Society is currently accepting student papers for
publication in our Spring 2015 from undergraduate students. The Journal has consistently published
multiple papers by Cornell students in the past few years.
We are an academic journal of the social sciences and history, distributed nationally among
academics on EBSCO, Google Scholar, and the Library of Congress. In its 25th year of publication,
the Journal features exclusively undergraduate work on political and social issues. We are seeking
outstanding student research papers from seminars, upper-level electives, independent study and
thesis programs.
Papers are typically between 20 and 50 pages, although all submissions will be considered. Please
feel free to share this information with your current students as well as those with whom you have
worked in the past.
The deadline for student paper submissions is January 12th, 2015. To download a Call for Papers
PDF, please visit: http://www.helvidius.org/cfp
If you care to learn more about our organization or to view past editions of the Journal, please
visit www.helvidius.org.
Thank you for your time and help in this matter. Best wishes for the remainder of the semester!
Sincerely,
Aiden Slavin
