Margaret River wines showcased at new BWS Wednesday, 18 December 2013: BWS will open its new store in Margaret River today with a focus on local wines to recognise the rich heritage of the Margaret River region in fine food and wine. BWS Margaret River Store Manager, Theresa Kellett, said; "Our new Margaret River store has been given special treatment with a massive range of 86 local wines. The store also features a commissioned mural from local artist, Ian Mutch, that captures the unique regionality of Margaret River. "BWS and Dan Murphy’s are the world’s largest retailer of Margaret River wines so it is fabulous to open a store and offer residents and tourists alike the wide range. Small wine producers such as Deep Woods, Stella Bella, Swings & Roundabouts, Forester Estate, Happs, Howling Wolves and Ashbrook will be showcased, along with favourites from larger producers Houghton, Amberley, Brookland Valley, and Evans & Tate. "Our staff have extensive knowledge of the great variety of products and will be on hand to bring to life the stories of the people and places behind the famous wine region. "The new store will provide Margaret River residents incredible convenience thanks to its handy location within the new Woolworths Marketplace, as well as offering some of Australia's best specials on beer, wine and spirits.” The BWS store will be officially opened at 9am on Wednesday, with a cake cutting ceremony taking place in-‐store.
