Meadowridge storm drainage improvement project YOUR STORM WATER FEES AT WORK Dear Resident, October 2012 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and consulting engineer, W.K. Dickson, have started the design phase for the Meadowridge Storm Drainage Improvement Project. The preliminary design plans will be submitted by W.K. Dickson to the Project Team by March 2013. When the review is complete, a public meeting will be scheduled to discuss easement acquisition. The goals of this project are to replace failing infrastructure, reduce flooding of streets and structures and reduce erosion along the stream and channel. The phases and timeframes of a typical storm drainage improvement project are: 1. Planning: 12-27 months (complete) 2. Design: 21-34 months (current phase) 3. Bid and Award: 4-5 months 4. Construction: 3 months to more than 2 year Project updates will be mailed quarterly to keep citizens informed of construction progress.
