Meadowridge
storm drainage improvement project
YOUR STORM WATER FEES AT WORK
Dear Resident,
October 2012
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and
consulting engineer, W.K. Dickson, have started the
design phase for the Meadowridge Storm Drainage
Improvement Project. The preliminary design plans
will be submitted by W.K. Dickson to the Project
Team by March 2013. When the review is complete, a
public meeting will be scheduled to discuss easement
acquisition. The goals of this project are to replace
failing infrastructure, reduce flooding of streets and
structures and reduce erosion along the stream and
channel.
The phases and timeframes of a typical storm drainage
improvement project are:
1. Planning: 12-27 months (complete)
2. Design: 21-34 months (current phase)
3. Bid and Award: 4-5 months
4. Construction: 3 months to more than 2 year
Project updates will be mailed quarterly to keep citizens
informed of construction progress.
