JEFFERSON
STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services continues to work on the Jefferson Storm
Drainage Improvement Project. Phase highlights:
Phase 1: Construction is complete and the project is currently in the warranty phase.
There will be a one-year monitoring phase and follow-up inspection as part of the City’s
warranty period.
Phase 2 (West side of Providence Road): Construction is almost complete along East
Barden Road and Red Cedar Lane. Work along Ogulkian Road continues. Work will
begin shortly along Wandering Way Drive. The construction completion target date
remains June 30, 2010. Please note Adam Clapp’s new cell number at 704-634-5062.
Phase 3 (East side of Providence Road): Ferebee Corporation was awarded the
contract by City Council. Construction is almost complete on Mamolake Road and
Lakeview Drive. Work along Lansing Drive and Preston Lane continues. Construction
will begin shortly on Jefferson Drive. The construction completion target date remains
June 30, 2010.
Communication mailers will be sent approximately every 4 months updating you on the
status of the construction. However, if you would like to receive more frequent updates
via e-mail, please send your e-mail address with “Jefferson E-mail List” in the subject
heading to William Harris (for Phase 2) and Monty Bissette (for Phase 3).

In Phase II, dam rehabilitation along
Carmel Park Drive is complete.
