YOUR STORM WATER FEES AT WORK
Dear Resident,
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services held its
second public meeting for the Ivey’s Pond and Dam
Rehabilitation Project on September 20, 2010 at South
County Regional Library.
The meeting presented recent changes to the Ivey’s Pond
and Dam Rehabilitation Project due to developments during
the permitting process. Meeting highlights:
• Christopher Fleck, consulting engineer with Dewberry,
gave a brief overview of project and project history.
• Mr. Fleck explained changes in project:
1. Design revisions were driven by regulatory changes, commitments to the residents, and cost savings.
2. Changes include reduced structure sizes, new alignment and outlet structure, and converting existing outlet into a pond drain.
