Ivey’s Pond and Dam rehabilitation project October 20, 2010 YOUR STORM WATER FEES AT WORK Dear Resident, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services held its second public meeting for the Ivey’s Pond and Dam Rehabilitation Project on September 20, 2010 at South County Regional Library. The meeting presented recent changes to the Ivey’s Pond and Dam Rehabilitation Project due to developments during the permitting process. Meeting highlights: • Christopher Fleck, consulting engineer with Dewberry, gave a brief overview of project and project history. • Mr. Fleck explained changes in project: 1. Design revisions were driven by regulatory changes, commitments to the residents, and cost savings. 2. Changes include reduced structure sizes, new alignment and outlet structure, and converting existing outlet into a pond drain.
