Hunter Acres Pond r e s t o r a t i o n p r o j e c t your storm water fees at work February 2012 Dear Resident, Construction on the Hunter Acres Pond Project began May 2011 and was scheduled to be complete by June 2012. The City continues to work with Harvest Environmental to develop a plan for finishing dam construction. Groundwater controls need to be removed before the dam and road can be rebuilt. On-Site Development, LLC. will begin work this week and is estimated to take about a month. The City is committed to finishing the project and apologizes for the delays. Within the last year, Storm Water fees… Funded 57 Capital Improvement Projects and protected the water quality of more than 3,000 miles of streams and shoreline. Fees included funding of the Upper Stoney Creek Stream Restoration near Mallard Creek Church Road. In addition to reconstructing open channel areas, boulders and logs were added to reduce bank erosion during large storm events. The Upper Stoney Creek stream restoration project will improve water quality, enhance forested riparian areas and protect aquatic habitat.
