Celia Avenue
storm drainage improvement project
YOUR STORM WATER FEES AT WORK
April 2013
Dear Resident,
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and consulting
engineer Armstrong Glen continue to design the storm
drainage improvements on Celia Avenue. This project will
replace the existing culvert near 2708/2624 Celia Avenue
and reduce street flooding at this culvert crossing. City
staff is in the process of acquiring two parcels necessary to
construct the improvements.
After the City has completed the acquisition of two parcels,
one house will be demolished. Various types of easements
on several other parcels will be needed to construct the
project. An easement is a right to use land owned by
another party for a specific purpose. Easements give
the City permission to come onto the property to repair
drainage problems and perform future maintenance. If the
City must access your property to construct the project,
a representative from City Real Estate will contact you
to obtain these easements. For more information about
easements, please visit our website at http://stormwater.
charmeck.org and click on easements on the left hand side.
