Ashley Farm Pond restoration project YOUR STORM WATER FEES AT WORK August 22, 2012 Dear Resident or Property Owner/Manager: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services held a property owner meeting for the Ashley Farm Pond Restoration Project on July 26 at Bible Baptist Church. The meeting was held to present the conceptual design and discuss the necessary easements with property owners. Meeting highlights: • Project Manager Tom Purvis introduced the project team, summarized project goals and described the proposed improvements. • Senior Water Quality Engineer John Schrum presented an overview of the City’s pond program and pond ranking system. • Attending residents viewed the Conceptual Design exhibit and had individual Q&A sessions with City staff and consultants. • Tom Purvis explained the importance of easement donations. City staff discussed easements with several attending homeowners. • Tom Purvis discussed general project timelines and reminded attendees to check the website for periodic updates.
