Cherokee/Scotland s t o r m d r a i n a g e i m p r o v e m e n t p r o j e c t your storm water fees at work Dear Resident: February 2011 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services held a public meeting on Thursday, January 20 at Christ Episcopal Church for the Cherokee/Scotland Storm Drainage Improvement Project. • During the meeting, the proposed storm drainage project and associated issues were discussed. Meeting highlights: • • • • Project Manager Troy Eisenberger introduced the project team and meeting agenda, gave the project history and discussed project area changes, including what was added and removed. Chris Fleck, of design consultant Dewberry, reviewed the proposed improvements including additional inlets, concrete pipes and box culverts, utility relocations/adjustments and channel improvements and gave an overview of the construction phase. Steve Frey, City of Charlotte Real Estate Department, explained Andrew Ponder from Telics will mail information packets to residents to have construction on their properties. He also answered general real estate questions. Mr. Eisenberger concluded the presentation with more information about the construction phase and addressed questions from residents, with assistance from City staff.
