The project team discussed the NIP area and project scope, summarized input from the first public meeting and presented options for neighborhood improvements. Option 5 – Cardiff Avenue sidewalk and curb from Hilliard Drive to Palm Avenue. Option 7 – Hilliard Drive curb from Shamrock Drive to Palm Avenue. Option 8 – Cheryl Street curb from Anne Street to Libeth Street. Option 9 – Ventosa Drive curb between Jeff Street and Cheryl Street. Option 10 - Libeth Street and Ventosa Drive storm drainage inlet replacement. The favored options are summarized below: Option 11 - Springway Drive ditch reshaping from Eastway Drive to the dead end. Option 1 – Airlie Street sidewalk from Shamrock Drive to Hilliard Drive and from Jeff Street to Country Club Drive. Attendees were also given the opportunity to choose an option for the following: Option 3 – Flamingo Avenue sidewalk and curb from Shamrock Drive to Hilliard Drive. Option 4 – Springway Drive sidewalk and curb from Flamingo Avenue to the dead end. Note: Bold represents option chosen. Country Club Drive metal bridge railing replacement – City standard rail or picket style. Brixton Court Median – Remove and pave or improve and provide landscaping. “Paper Streets” (unimproved street right-of-way) – Do nothing, construct a full street section, construct a pedestrian/ bike path with lighting or construct a full street section at each intersection with a pedestrian/bike path between with lighting. Cardiff Avenue from Springway Drive to Palm Avenue – Construct a full street section. Connecticut Avenue from Springway Drive to Hilliard Drive – Construct pedestrian/bike path with lighting. Springway Drive from the dead end to Flamingo Avenue - Construct pedestrian/ bike path with lighting. Note: These construction options may not reflect the exact final project improvements. Results from the online survey will be presented at the third public meeting. Next steps A (third) public meeting to present additional final project plan options will be held from 6 - 8 pm Thursday, July 30, 2009 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 3020 Hilliard Drive.
