Data Area Meeting
All data area groups reported on the current status of their work, including the DAIS
WG.
DAIS WG
Update to the community on DAIS-WG activities and discussed progress towards the
development of data access services for RDF data resources within the WS-DAI
framework.
Two specifications have been drafted for RDF data resource access. These were
presented at the meeting.

ByteIO WG
The ByteIO session gave an overview of the ByteIO group and specifications, and an
update on progress including implementations and interoperability work.

2. Overview of group aims
3. Overview of specification and rendering, including recent changes to address
comments
4. Discussion of implementations and interoperability document
5. Future plans for the group
OGSA-DMI working group session
Intial work on functional specification.
Workshops
Mini-Symposium / OGSA-DAI users forum
An OGSA-DAI workshop at which an overview of OGSA-DAI was presented and an
update on the features of the latest OGSA-DAI version.
Presentations by OGSA-DAI users.
Discussion.
Globus Data Management for Architects
An overview of data management tools available as part of the Globus Toolkit.
Education and Training Community Group Workshop
The Education & Training Community Group (E&T CG) will develop a programme
of work to increase awareness of the importance of education and training for grid
computing, sharing best practice and developing standards for quality assurance and
mechanisms for sharing E&T resources.
