Atlases, Spatio-Temporal Databases and Modelling e-Science Institute 15th July 2003 The purpose of the Atlases, Spatio-Temporal Databases and Modeling workshop on the 15th of July was to pursue a possible e-Science application to BBSRC. The application area of the proposal is to be a spatio-temporal database on Arabidopsis development with special emphasis on community access and developmental modeling based on the Mouse Atlas and gene-expression database at the HGU. The meeting was between the Mouse Atlas group in Edinburgh, Professor Andrew Bangham from the University of East Anglia and the plant research group at the John Innes Centre headed by Professor Enrico Coen. The meeting was very productive with the output of a draft proposal in the form of a series of heading which are to worked on by UEA/JIC and the group in the MRC with a view to a further meeting in September to finalise the proposal.
