Zoning Ordinance Policy Assessment Report and Approach Report – 75 minutes

Alan Goodwin, Planning
Planning staff and Clarion representatives, the consultant hired to assess the Charlotte Zoning
Ordinance, will present the study results. The presentation will include highlights of the
Assessment Report, which focuses on how well the current Zoning Ordinance implements City
policies and plans, and the Approach Report, which provides an overview of various zoning
approaches as well as issues the City should consider as it determines next steps. The reports are
included in the July 19 Council Manager Memo.

MUMPO Memorandum of Understanding Update– 15 minutes

The MPO endorsed a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on July 17. The final form of
the MOU will be discussed. City Council will be asked to authorize the Mayor to sign the MOU.
