Transit Oriented Development Policies Part II – 45 minutes Staff Resource: Alan Goodwin, Planning Staff will continue the discussion of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) from the June 10 meeting that focused on making sure the TOD and Transit Station zoning districts can accomplish the vision set forth in the adopted station area plans. Staff will provide a summary of key issues and a plan of action and schedule for addressing them. Action: For information only II. Long Range Transportation Plan and Strategic Mobility Fund– 30 minutes Staff Resource: Norm Steinman, Transportation At the May 13 meeting, staff described the roadway projects nominated for possible inclusion in the next Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) being prepared by the Mecklenburg-Union Metropolitan Planning Organization (MUMPO). Over the past three months, staff from MUMPO and the Technical Coordinating Committee have completed their evaluation of roadway projects, and a new funding formula and allocation philosophy have become law in North Carolina. Staff will explain how these events will lead to MUMPO decisions about the 2040 LRTP in September and October. Action: For information only Attachment: 1.
