Learning Outcomes: An awareness of screenwriting as a craft, An understanding of: • What makes a cinematic story (language of cinema) • What makes a story great (emotional journey) • Story’s structure and its theme (spine) • The difference between plot-driven and character driven stories • The difference between Speculative (on spec) and Commissioned Screenplays The ability to: • Write an outline, synopsis and treatment • Read and format screenplays professionally Places are on a first come, first served basis and participants will be given a certificate of attendance.
