Course Description: This course covers the techniques used by the trucking industry to diagnose and repair heavy duty truck air brake systems. Instruction will cover theory, inspection, maintenance, and repair of air brake systems. Course Objectives: 1. Discuss, compare and contrast the different designs and operation of the Air Brake Systems. 1. Exams/Tests/Quizzes 2. Discuss, compare and contrast the different techniques used for inspection of the Air brake Systems and its related components. 1. Safely and responsibly perform Medium and Heavy Duty truck repairs while minimizing negative impact on the environment. 2. Disassemble, evaluate, repair and reassemble basic, Medium and Heavy duty truck air brakes and their related components.
