HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
In consideration of the City of Charlotte closing a specified portion of the public right of way for the activity for which this
permit was issued, the host business and valet operator(s) of this service hereby agrees to save the City, its agents, officials,
and employees harmless from and against all damages to persons or property, all expenses, and other liability that may result
from this activity. Due to the scope of service a “certificate of insurance” is be required. This permit is for public rights of
way only. Any use of private property must be negotiated with property owner.
ALL FINES AND PENALTIES ARE LEVIED AGAINST THE HOST BUSINESS.

IV. Terms and Conditions
1) VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS CAN LEAD TO FINES, TOWING AND OR REVOCATION OF THIS PERMIT
2) A copy of this permit must be visibly posted at the valet podium.
3) No valet service can be offered between the hours of 7 and 9 AM and 4 to 6 PM without written
authorization from the permitting official or his designee.
4) Maximum staging time is 10 minutes per vehicle.
5) Reservation of on-street parking that is not mentioned in this permit is prohibited.
6) Valet personnel are required to wear an ANSI approved reflective safety vest.
7) Valet personnel must adhere to all local, state and national traffic and parking statutes.
8) The permitting official reserves the right to consolidate multiple valet operations in close proximity.
9) The city reserves the right to temporarily suspend or displace valet operations for the duration of special
events or other necessary use of the right of way or modify due to unforeseen consequences.
10) This permit is non-transferable and non-refundable.
11) This permit may be modified for space, times and/or location by submitting the proposed changes and a
new scaled drawing (if necessary) and a $50 modification fee.
12) Operating a valet service without a valid permit is subject to a $1000 per day fine.
13) Violations of the terms of the permit are subject to fines of $100 per day per violation.
14) Three violations within a twelve month period will result in a three month suspension of permit.
15) Two suspensions in a twelve month period will result in revocation of this permit for a period of one year.
