First Assignment “Introduction to agencies”: Preface (yes, read it!), also pp 1-9. Bring (or email me in advance) responses to attached questionnaire (see page 2, below). Sign up for TWEN, where syllabus and slides will be posted. Syllabus will be provided on first day and then posted. Calendar Note We meet 29 times. I will be cancelling class on March 3 and April 21 for work-related travel; there will be makeups on March 15 and April 12. Administrative Law Questionnaire Name (and any pronunciation guidance): Are you a 2L or 3L? Have you taken (or are you taking) any constitutional law courses beyond the basic course (e.g., Constitutional Litigation, Constitutional Civil Rights Litigation) and/or Federal Courts? Are you taking (or have you taken) Legislation or the Legislative Practicum? Have you had any classes that related to areas of law (statutes) administered by federal agencies, e.g., tax law, environmental law, patent law, trademark law, drug and device law? Which? How recently have you had a U.S. history course that covered the 20th century? Please don’t worry if the answers are that you are a 2L taking con law concurrently, that you have not taken legislation or any classes relating to law administered by an agency, and that you haven’t studied American history since high school. This is just to help me figure out how much background and context I need to provide orally in class. Anything else I need to know?
