Program Descriptions
City Council Meetings: Airs live on the second Monday of each month, at 7:00 pm and live on the fourth Monday of each month, at 6:30 pm.
City Zoning Meetings: Airs live on the third Monday of each month, at 5:30pm. This is a live telecast of the council petitions and hearings.
Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioner’s Meetings: Airs live on the first and third Tuesday of each month, at 6:00pm.
Union County Meetings: This is a telecast of commission meetings and public hearings. Replays Sunday’s, at 1:00pm.
Traffic Watch: Plan your route every day in real-time. Watch live RSS feeds of accidents and road closures as they occur.
Community Safety: The City’s goal is to create a community where residents and visitors feel safe in their homes, their neighborhoods, their workplaces, and the

Wellness Works: The City of Charlotte is dedicated to the health of employees. Watch this stretching class to exercise properly and improve your health.
A Historical Perspective: The Community Planning Academy is an educational program accessible to any citizen who is interested in learning more about the role
planning plays in building communities. The goal of the academy is to empower citizens with a better understanding of community planning so they can
effectively engage in planning efforts both in their neighborhood and the city. Dr. Tom Hanchett, notable historian and guest speaker, gave a lecture on the
history of the planning profession and its impacts on the built environment in Charlotte.
Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Awareness: This program is a compilation of testimonials and subject experts who have experienced the harsh realities of
suicide or mental illness in one form or another. National Prevention Week is May 15 – 21, 2016. Learn how you can detect, assist, and possibly save a life.
These videos were produced by Mental Health America of Central Carolinas, which promotes mental wellness through advocacy, prevention, and education in
Mecklenburg and Cabarrus Counties and by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral
health of the nation. SAMHSA's mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America's communities.
Road to Recovery: The Road to Recovery series is hosted by Associate Director for Consumer Affairs Ivette Torres at the SAMHSA Center for Substance Abuse
Treatment. The series airs eight episodes featuring panels of nationwide experts from the field of recovery.
