OBJECTIVES OF THE TRAINING
The purpose of this one week course comprising lectures, cadaver workshops and live surgery will be to:
• Teach and train young local surgeons in the essential and current techniques and management principles of brain
and spinal diseases relevant for East Africa
• Acquire new skills through hands-on practical sessions
• Share experiences
AGENDA
Most lectures will be 30 minutes long followed by 10 minutes for case discussions. Speakers and audience are
requested to bring relevant cases. Cases from the audience should be given to the speaker before the lecture.
