Nobuo FUJII (NTT, Japan)
He joined NTT in 1979 after receiving his masters degree in engineering from the
graduate school of Osaka university. From 1979 to 1995, he worked on network and
service management technologies in NTT laboratories. In 1995, he moved to the
Multimedia Business Development Department of NTT where he planned a business
offering multipoint video conferencing services. The plan led to the creation of a new
service providing company and he was put in charge of its operations. He rejoined NTT
laboratories in 1998 and has been leading projects on home network services and
high-speed metropolitan area networks. He is now an executive manager of the “home
network appliance and services project” of NTT laboratories. He has been active in
ITU-T SG4 since 1985 and is a vice chairman of ITU-T SG4.
