Omar Grech LL.D., Ph.D. Bio Note Omar Grech is Coordinator of the Human Dimension Programme at the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies (MEDAC) where he lectures in international law including international human rights law. From 2007 to 2009 he was Director of the International & EU Office of the University of Malta. His main interests in international law are: human rights, human rights and development, human rights education as well as the link between human rights and conflict. Since 2001 he has organized a Human Rights Summer School at MEDAC as well as human rights seminars and workshops. He is also the co-coordinator of the joint Masters programme between MEDAC and the School of Conflict Analysis and Resolution. He was Fulbright Scholar conducting research and delivering lectures at the School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, George Mason University from January to April 2010. Between 2001 and 2007 he was a member of the Human Rights Education Working Group of the Euro-Med Human Rights Network. He has lectured and conducted workshops in Italy, Lebanon, Cyprus, Turkey, Ireland, Croatia and the Netherlands.
