Philosophy of Care
Dr. Carr's philosophy is to care for the person, not just the disease process or problem. To that
end he is committed to serving his patients needs, as much as possible, to achieve not just
maximum physical, but emotional and spiritual health as well.
He strives for a compassionate family-oriented approach, because illness does not just affect an
organ or an individual, but all aspects of our life and relationships. In addition, knowledge is not
static, but a dynamic process that necessitates life long learning and a multi-disciplinary approach
to patient care. Dr. Carr will utilize all the resources of the UC Davis Health System to achieve the
best outcome for his patients.
