Biography:
Meni Styliadou joined Corning in May 2001 as Director for European Government
Affairs. Meni has developed the Primary Infrastructure Concept and has pioneered it
among national and regional governments, trade associations etc. Prior to joining
Corning, Meni was the Regulatory Specialist of EBRD, the European Bank of
Reconstruction and Development. In this capacity she has been advising a number of
governments in Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Bank’s senior management on
all matters of telecommunications policy. Before EBRD, she had been in private practice
specialising in EU competition and telecommunication law and policy. Meni started her
career in the European Commission in 1991 as legal expert in the unit responsible for the
implementation of EU telecommunications law.
