Biography:
Mr. Dirk Jaeger (German) was born on August 7, 1962 in Helmstedt. He holds a diploma in
Communications Technology from the Technical University of Braunschweig where he also
achieved a Doctorate in Engineering.
From 1991 until 1993, he worked in Corporate Research for Thomson Consumer Electronics,
Hanover. In October 1993, he became a scientific employee of the Institute for
Communications Technology of the Technical University of Braunschweig. Between 1998
and 2001 he was General Manager of EuroCableLabs. Since October 2001, he has been
assuming the position of Technical Director at ECCA. Furthermore, he is active as the
Chairman of ITG WG 3.1.3: „Signalübertragung für elektronische Medien“ („signal
transmission for electronic media“) as well as Chairman of CENELEC TC 209 „Cable
networks for television signals, sound signals and interactive services“.
