Human Resources Student Help (2 positions)

Student Help Rate ~ $ 8.25 per hour
Employment and Work Schedule:
15 – 20 hours per week (School Year)
Up to 32 hours per week (Summer Schedule)

Job Description:
 Responsible for providing all aspects of customer service and clerical support services to Human Resources.
 Duties to include, but are not limited to: scan documents; answer phones; greet customers; data entry; post payroll
items; prepare office correspondence; office organization and filing; schedule meetings; process mail; maintain system
records; complete miscellaneous forms and orders; special projects; and assist with event planning.
 Provide backup support for the human resources office staff.
 Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications*:
 High school diploma or equivalent. Must be currently enrolled in classes at Lakeshore Technical College. Prefer a
first year student within the Business & Technology program area.
 Prior customer service experience in an office setting beneficial.
 Required skills include proficiency in spelling, grammar, and proof reading; skilled in typing/keyboarding; skilled in
mail merging; working knowledge of Word & Excel 2013; working knowledge of utilizing and searching the Internet;
take initiative; and possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
 Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
 Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form.
 Attention to detail and ability to multi-task are a must.
 Must be dependable and professional.
 Ability to relate successfully with students and staff of diverse cultural, social or educational backgrounds.
