The Taught Masters in English Language programme provides an opportunity for coursework and research across a wide and attractive range of areas within English Language Studies. On this programme, students study and research: - the ways in which English is acquired and its coexistence with other languages - the uses of English in various disciplinary, social and cultural contexts - the structure of English and approaches to its description and study Through a series of in depth studies, assignments and a final dissertation, students deepen their knowledge of English language studies with specific reference to issues which concern them and/or which they are able to explore further.
