The theme of 2014 Dragon 100 will be “Press Here to Start : Beyond the Talk”, focusing on the opportunity
in starting the business in Hong Kong and Mainland China. In China’s 12th Five Year development plan, Qianhai
in Shenzhen, Hengqin in Zhuhai and Nansha in Guangzhou have been earmarked as the key strategic
development areas in the Pearl River Delta of Southern China in coming years. With the special tax and
financial incentives as well as well-planned transportation network, these areas are expected to attract
investments and entrepreneurs from various industries including financial services, modern logistics,
information technology, leisure and tourism, cultural innovation and hi-tech manufacturing.
Programme Highlights
Hong Kong Programme
 Attending the “Global Youth Entrepreneurs Forum” & gaining practical tips from worldwide successful
entrepreneurs for running startups
 Learning from successful entrepreneurs the practical tips for start up and social innovation, as well as the
competitiveness of Asia for entrepreneurs
 Selected delegates will be invited to join a pitching session & compete for the Best Business Plan Award
 Visiting various incubation centers, education or training institute that foster entrepreneurship culture
3-day Study Tour in Pearl River Delta Region
 Meeting with government officials to explore the supporting policies / financial aids provided to startups
 Visiting Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub, education or training
institute to examine how their services & curriculum facilitates the development of innovation and
entrepreneurship

On-site sharing by representatives from well-established enterprise to gain inspirations from their
successful stories
Eligibility
 Ethnic Chinese, Aged 18-35 with a business idea / already an entrepreneur
Selection Criteria
The panel will look for representatives of the countries where their nominations were made, who are :
 Outstanding academically or professionally;
 Award recipients or are exceptionally talented in a non-academic area, e.g. sports, arts, music;
 With a consistent record of involvement in community service / extra-curricular activities;
 Having a concrete business plan / ideas or have already started his / her own business in the past 5 years
Nomination Procedure
Nominees should submit:
 A completed nomination form with signed consent of nominator and nominee
 Copies of documentary evidences as appropriate
 A recent passport photo and a passport copy (in JPEG or TIF format) to info@dragonfoundation.net
 A completed online application form & business plan, available at www.dragonfoundation.net

 HK Participants (nominated by universities / organizations in Hong Kong) : HK$2,500
 Non-Hong Kong Participants : FREE (They will be responsible for their round trip airfare between
country/place of nomination and Hong Kong)
