REFUND POLICY AND NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL
The refund policy applies equally to all students regardless of the form or source of tuition funds. This refund policy
only applies in a case of total withdrawal from enrollment during a specific semester. For dropping and/or adding
single courses, please go to the Add/Drops section of the MJI Academic Catalog and Student Handbook. (NOTE: the
Return of Title IV funds and Institutional refund policies are two different calculations. The Return of Title IV funds policy
dictates the amount of Title IV funds that may be retained. The Institutional refund policy dictates the amount of the
student’s tuition and fees obligation. Please refer to the Return of Title IV Policy in the MJI Academic Catalog and Student
Handbook for the effect of withdrawal on Title IV funding.)
PL
E
MJI allows students to drop courses within the Add/Drop period of ten days, except for condensed courses which
have an Add/Drop period of 7 days, with no consequence. The Add/Drop period starts the day the course begins.
In some cases, this may mean the student will have two Add/Drop periods if courses start on different dates.
Courses dropped during the Add/Drop period will not incur tuition fees. If the student fails to officially drop
courses during the Add/Drop period the refund policy will apply. Days in the table below start after the
appropriate Add/Drop period.
