Georges SEBEK, Counsellor, International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Bureau Georges joined the Telecommunication Standardization Bureau of the ITU in June 1999. Since then, he occupied several positions, all related to telecommunication standardization. He is currently supporting the ITU-T study group on Security after several years of work with the study group in charge of next generation networks . He is actively involved in the review of working methods and their adjustment to global standards initiatives (GSI) and the related coordination activities (within ITU-T and with other partner Standard Development Organizations). He is also in charge of the GSI on IP Television (IPTV-GSI) and the GSI on identity management (IdM-GSI). Georges has a long experience in telecommunication and worked previously as a research engineer with France Telecom.
